Barb City Stompers Jazz Band

Barb City Stompers

The Stompers were formed in 2004 when its leader, John Skillman moved to the area (Dekalb IL). DeKalb IL is where barbed wire was invented and so; the unusual name given the "Barb City" Stompers. The Band plays regularly in Dekalb as well as thought the central USA. Our style might be described as “Hot-Swing-Trad”.
